EveryMatrix in-house studio — status changed

Spearhead Studios: the site now redirects to Fantasma Games

Spearhead Studios was EveryMatrix’s in-house slot studio, launched in 2019. As of September 2026 its entire website redirects to Fantasma Games, EveryMatrix’s other studio. We flag that rather than write around it.

What has happened to Spearhead Studios

As of our check in September 2026, spearheadstudios.com — homepage, about page and news page — redirects entirely to fantasmagames.com. Fantasma Games is EveryMatrix’s other in-house studio, acquired around October 2024.

We found no press release announcing a merger or the retirement of the Spearhead brand. The redirect is an observed technical fact with a date attached, not a confirmed corporate announcement. We state it that way, and anyone relying on it commercially should confirm with EveryMatrix directly.

This matters practically. Any profile of Spearhead built by scraping “the Spearhead Studios website” today will actually pull Fantasma Games data — a different founding year, a different base, a different catalogue. That is the single biggest trap with this supplier, and a good number of published profiles have already fallen into it.

Historically: Spearhead Studios was launched in 2019 when EveryMatrix acquired the former GiG Games development team. It was never a separately incorporated company — it was EveryMatrix’s studio brand, which is why no registration number exists for it. Mathias Larsson led it; whether he remains associated is not confirmed.

Status and caveats
  • Site status: redirects to fantasmagames.com, checked September 2026
  • No merger announcement was found — the redirect is observed, not announced
  • Legal entity: none of its own; an EveryMatrix studio brand
  • Launched: 2019, from the acquired GiG Games team
  • Last Spearhead-branded release: March 2024
  • Do not attribute current Fantasma Games releases to Spearhead
  • Licence reachable via the domain is EveryMatrix’s, not Spearhead’s

Dates come from catalogue tracking rather than a company archive, since that archive is no longer independently reachable. Fantasma Games releases from 2026 are Fantasma-branded and should not be attributed to Spearhead.

What makes it different

What the studio did that was distinctive

One real pattern, and three things to avoid getting wrong.

Licensed IP with a scratchcard twin

FashionTV and John Daly each got a slot and a matching scratchcard released weeks apart. That paired-format approach to licensed IP is a genuine, evidenced practice rather than marketing language, and it is the studio’s clearest signature.

RNG tables, not live

Blackjack Classic and European Roulette are computer-dealt RNG table games. No live dealer product was ever found for this studio.

The scraping trap

Because the domain now redirects, any automated refresh pulls Fantasma Games’ founding year, base and catalogue and files them under Spearhead. Several published profiles already show signs of this.

Where it runs

Licensing and current status

Spearhead Studios has no licence of its own, because it was never a separate entity. The licence reachable through its former domain today is EveryMatrix Software Limited’s MGA/B2B/201/2011, which belongs to EveryMatrix and Fantasma Games, not to Spearhead.

A 2020 announcement confirmed UK regulatory clearance for gaming development via Spearhead, but no licence number was retrievable, so we do not quote one.

If you need Spearhead-branded content specifically, confirm with EveryMatrix whether the catalogue is still distributed under that name. The evidence suggests it has been folded in, but nothing has been announced.

Licences and certifications
  • No licence of its own — never a separate legal entity
  • MGA/B2B/201/2011 belongs to EveryMatrix Software Limited
  • UK development clearance announced in 2020; no number published
  • Confirm current catalogue status with EveryMatrix directly

FAQ

Spearhead Studios — common questions

Its website redirects entirely to Fantasma Games as of September 2026, and the last Spearhead-branded release we found was in March 2024. No merger or discontinuation announcement was published, so we report the redirect as an observed fact rather than concluding the brand is retired. Confirm with EveryMatrix if it matters commercially.

No. It was EveryMatrix’s in-house studio brand, launched in 2019 from the acquired GiG Games development team. It has no registration number of its own, and profiles that give one have invented it.

They are both EveryMatrix studios, and Spearhead’s domain now points at Fantasma’s site. But they were founded at different times with different catalogues, and current Fantasma releases should not be attributed to Spearhead.

None of its own. The licence reachable through its former domain is EveryMatrix Software Limited’s MGA/B2B/201/2011.

No. Slots plus two RNG table games, Blackjack Classic and European Roulette, which are computer-dealt rather than live.

Licensed IP released in pairs — FashionTV and John Daly each got a slot and a matching scratchcard within weeks of each other. That paired-format approach is the studio’s clearest signature.
