Altenar started in 2011 as BetInAction Software and took its current name in 2014. It is headquartered in Douglas, Isle of Man, with six offices worldwide — Malta, Greece, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay alongside the Isle of Man — and roughly 700 to 800 staff.
It is a sportsbook supplier, not a games studio. There is no proprietary slot content: casino games are brokered through a Casino Partners programme alongside the sportsbook rather than built in-house. Altenar does not publish a betting-market or monthly-event count, so no figure is quoted here. Its own materials give both “30+ countries” and “50+ regulated markets” — the lower figure is the safer one to plan against.

A managed trading desk
Altenar staff supervise pricing and liability 24/7 on your behalf, with stake and liability limits configurable per market and per player. For an operator without an in-house trading team this is the difference between running a sportsbook and owning a liability you cannot see.
Widget-based front end
The sportsbook UI is assembled from configurable widgets — Tournament, Top Match, Live Stream, Boosted Odds. Operators re-lay-out pages themselves rather than waiting on a provider release, which matters when you want a different front page for a tournament week.
Multi-feed data aggregation
Premium Data Feeds pulls odds and scouting data from more than one supplier behind a single integration, so pricing is not hostage to one feed. The April 2026 Racing and Sports deal added racing data, pricing and editorial the same way.
Bet Mentor
A per-player recommendation engine rather than an editorial featured-bets panel: suggestions are derived from that individual’s betting history. A retention tool that happens to sit in the betting interface.

Regulated Europe is the base — the UK, Malta, Romania, Greece, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Italy and Portugal. The UKGC licence is unusually well documented for a sportsbook supplier, and in March 2026 Altenar added a Game Host (Casino) licence to it.
Latin America is the current growth engine. Offices opened in Brazil and Peru in March 2025, Peru homologated the platform in April 2025, and a Brazil commercial team was built out through late 2025.
Canada is expanding: Ontario registration plus an Alberta conditional supplier licence granted July 2026, just ahead of that market opening. South Africa is covered by a national manufacturer licence.

Altenar in Q4 2026: Greentube, Alberta and the Philippines
The 2026 story is the Greentube chain. A strategic partnership announced on 3 July became a live UK book for Admiral Casino on 24 August and a Spanish book for Admiral Bet on 21 October, each delivered as the same package: pre-match and in-play betting, risk management, promotional tools and a front end the operator can restyle. For a casino group adding sport, that sequence is the reference case for how fast a managed sportsbook can be rolled out market by market.
Regulated-market approvals kept pace. The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission approved Altenar as a supplier on 2 July 2026, eleven days before the province’s regulated online market opened; in Spain the Gran Madrid Casino Online agreement was renewed on 30 July; and in the Philippines DigiPlus moved its PAGCOR-licensed ArenaPlus brand onto Altenar’s managed system in May, with player-proposition markets for PBA basketball set by Altenar’s statistical model.
