Slot studio and RGS provider

Kalamba Games: PrizeTower, PrizeMatch and the BullsEye RGS

Kalamba is a founder-led studio split between Kraków and Malta. It builds slots and runs its own remote gaming server, and it names its mechanics in the game titles themselves — which is a deliberate and unusual way to merchandise.

The studio

Who Kalamba Games are

Kalamba is run by its three co-founders, all named on its own site: Steve Cutler (CEO), Alex Cohen (COO) and Michał Ochman (CTO). That is more transparency about leadership than most studios in this catalogue offer.

It operates from two places and distinguishes them precisely: the studio and development operation is in Kraków, Poland, and the registered, licensed entity is in Zebbug, Malta.

It does not publish a founding year. Its own portfolio page carries releases dated from 2018 onwards, which is the only hard date available. The 2016 that circulates is not on any Kalamba page.

Kalamba is not a slots-only business. Alongside the games it supplies BullsEye RGS, its own remote gaming server, plus backend systems and promotional tools. It also owns a sub-studio, Speedy Tomatoes Entertainment, which produces the Powerpoker collection — an owned sub-studio is unusual at this scale.

The games

Look at the title names. Kalamba puts the mechanic in the title as a matter of course — Prizetower, Prizematch, Cash Quest, Hold and Win. Its portfolio spans 2018 to 2025 but does not date individual titles.

TitleReleasedWhat it is
Bisonado Prizematch—Bison-themed slot built on the PrizeMatch mechanic
Bisonado 2 Prizematch—Direct sequel on the same PrizeMatch framework
Heimdall’s Gate Cash Quest—Norse-mythology slot using the Cash Quest format
Blazing Bull Cash Quest—Cash Quest entry in one of Kalamba’s longest-running franchises
Wolfwood Prizetower—Wolf and forest theme on the PrizeTower mechanic
Horus Fire Prizetower—Egyptian-themed PrizeTower slot
Desert Scarabs Prizetower—Desert-themed PrizeTower entry
40 Crown Chase Prizetower—40-line classic-fruit style slot with PrizeTower attached
Lions Land Hold and Win—Big-cat theme on a Hold & Win respin format
Aztec Apocalypse Prizematch—Aztec-themed PrizeMatch slot
Powerpoker collection—Video poker produced by Kalamba’s owned sub-studio, Speedy Tomatoes Entertainment

No RTP figures are quoted. Kalamba publishes no catalogue total either — the 150+ figure here is a count of its own portfolio listing, not a company claim, and no per-title release years are published.

What makes it different

Named mechanics, and an RGS underneath

Kalamba sells two things: recognisable mechanic families, and the server that delivers them.

BullsEye RGS

Kalamba’s own remote gaming server and the commercial core of the business. It hosts and distributes Kalamba’s content and provides the integration, backend and promotional-tools layer to operators. Note it is a Remote Gaming Server, not a random number generator — a confusion that appears in several write-ups.

PrizeMatch

A second, separate named family across at least seven titles, built on symbol or prize matching and collection. Distinct from PrizeTower — do not treat them as the same mechanic.

K-Cash Symbols and Cashpots

Cash-value symbols that land with a fixed monetary value attached, typically feeding Cashpots and Hold & Win respin rounds. Note there is no Kalamba product called Kalamba Kash, despite the name circulating.

HyperBonus, HyperBet and BuyBonus

Kalamba’s bonus-buy family. Co-founder Alex Cohen is credited on the company’s own site with developing HyperBonus, Fix&Spin and PrizeTower. The precise distinction between HyperBonus, HyperBet and plain BuyBonus is not published, so ask rather than assume.

Mechanic-as-brand

Worth calling out as a strategy: putting the mechanic in the title means a player who liked one PrizeTower game can find nine more by name. Very few studios merchandise this way, and it makes lobby curation considerably easier.

Where it runs

Where Kalamba games are available

Twelve named territories on its own site: Greece, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Colombia, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Spain. Kalamba publishes the list but no headline count.

That is a regulated-market-first footprint, weighted to Southern and Eastern Europe plus the two big Latin American markets — including Brazil, which matters given its recent regulated launch.

Sixteen named partners: operators Betsson, LeoVegas, Rootz, SKS365, Interwetten, Tipos and 1xBet; platforms and aggregators SoftSwiss, Relax Gaming, Pariplay, EveryMatrix, Bragg, Hub88, Groove, Tuko Productions and Easit.

Licences and certifications
  • Malta: MGA/B2B/861/2020, Type 1 Gaming Services, issued 11 October 2021
  • That is the most completely documented licence of any studio in this batch — number, type and issue date
  • No other jurisdiction’s licence number is published
  • Given the 12 named territories include Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and Brazil, further authorisations almost certainly exist — request the numbers
  • The 2020 in the licence reference against a 2021 issue date is normal MGA practice, not an error

FAQ

Kalamba Games — common questions

Kalamba’s own remote gaming server — the platform that hosts and distributes its content and provides integration, backend and promotional tooling to operators. It is a Remote Gaming Server, not a random number generator, a confusion that appears in several published descriptions.

They are two separate named mechanic families. PrizeTower is built on a tiered prize ladder the player climbs; PrizeMatch is built on symbol and prize matching. Kalamba runs each across its own sub-family of titles and does not publish the detailed rules for either.

Because the mechanic is the brand. Prizetower, Prizematch, Cash Quest and Hold and Win all appear in title names, so a player who liked one can find the rest by name. It is a deliberate merchandising strategy and it makes lobby curation much easier.

Not published. Its own portfolio page carries releases dated from 2018, which is the only hard date available. The 2016 that circulates on directory sites is not on any Kalamba page.

Two places, and the company distinguishes them: the studio and development operation is in Kraków, Poland, and the registered, licensed entity is in Zebbug, Malta.

Yes — Malta MGA/B2B/861/2020, a Type 1 Gaming Services B2B licence issued 11 October 2021. It publishes no numbers for its other twelve named territories, so request those if your compliance team needs them.

A Kalamba sub-studio producing the Powerpoker video poker collection. An owned sub-studio is unusual for a company of this size and gives Kalamba a vertical outside slots.
