Expanse Studios says it was founded in 2017 by industry veterans. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Meridian Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: MRDN), a Las Vegas-based group that traded as Golden Matrix Group until March 2026 and also owns the Meridianbet sportsbook. The studio’s chief executive is Damjan Stamenkovic.
The studio’s website does not state a head office. It links to a LinkedIn page with Malta in its address, and its licence page lists Maltese, Serbian and Bulgarian approvals, but we found no published studio address.
Its output covers video slots, crash games, dice versions of its games, video poker, roulette, keno and turn-based strategy games. The parent reported 77 proprietary titles and 1,519 active operator sites in the first quarter of 2026. The IGP catalogue currently lists 73 Expanse Studios titles.
Branded content is also part of the plan. In February 2026 the studio released VASO Psycho, its first celebrity-branded slot, built around the Montenegrin MMA fighter Vaso Bakocevic and aimed at Balkan audiences.

Expanse is a subsidiary of Meridian Holdings, which also runs Meridianbet. Before its rename the group said Meridianbet was licensed in 18 jurisdictions across Europe, Africa and South America.
Dice versions of its slots
The studio releases dice editions of its games, such as 100 Super Icy Dice and Veni Vidi Vici Dice. It describes them as restyled versions of its most popular social games.
Promo and retention tools
Its site has sections for promo tools and tournaments. In the second quarter of 2026 the parent reported launches of jackpots, tournaments and a gamification product called Achievo.
Celebrity and branded games
The studio has a branded games section. VASO Psycho (February 2026), made with MMA fighter Vaso Bakocevic for Balkan markets, was its first celebrity-branded slot.

Expanse says its games reach casino brands across Europe, Latin America and North America. Its parent reported new certifications in Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Portugal, Colombia and Slovenia during the first half of 2026, and said a system certification application in Ontario was pending.
The studio’s licence page lists the Malta Gaming Authority, Serbian and Bulgarian regulators, GLI and ISO/IEC 27001:2022. It gives no licence numbers or holding entity, and we did not find the studio on a regulator register we could open in September 2026. In Serbia, Flutter-owned MaxBet took its games live in June 2026. The operator tells IGP its markets and IGP confirms which titles can launch there.
