Georgia moves its international-only iGaming licence to full rollout

Georgia has moved its international-only online gambling licence from a pilot, launched in July 2026, to full rollout in October 2026. The licence is for operators serving players outside Georgia: Georgian citizens are blocked from licensed platforms. Yogonet and Focus Gaming News reported the details on 1 October and 29 September.

The licence at a glance

  • Regulator: Random Systems Georgia (RSG), appointed by the government
  • Term: 5 years, covering online casino, slots and sports betting
  • Tax: 5% of GGR plus a 1% monitoring fee; reinvested profits pay 0% corporate tax
  • Applicants: foreign nationals and stateless persons only; one website per licence

Who it is for

The regime targets international operators. Only foreign nationals and stateless persons can apply, Georgian citizens cannot play on licensed platforms, and Focus Gaming News reports that each licence covers a single website.

How onboarding works

Onboarding is remote and no office in Georgia is required. According to Yogonet, the package includes corporate banking and payment processing under the gambling merchant category code (MCC 7995). Yogonet also says further changes to operator terms may be announced during October.

Why it matters

Georgia joins the small group of jurisdictions that license online gambling aimed at international players, alongside regimes such as Curaçao and Anjouan. A new licence route means new operators that need a platform, content and payments from day one, and content that can be switched on for the markets their licence and their target countries allow.

What operators should check

Before applying, confirm which target markets accept a Georgian licence, which game studios will supply content under it and how payment processing works in practice. With the IGP casino API availability is set per market, so a new licence does not mean a new integration.

Content for a new licence, without a new integration

150+ providers and 18,000+ games through one integration, with availability set per market and per licence.
