Phoenix7: slots with Japanese pachinko influences from a Malta-based studio
PHOENIX 7 says it was founded in 2021, is headquartered in Malta and runs development studios in Poland and Japan. Its slots borrow design ideas from Japanese pachinko and pachislot machines.
The studio
Who Phoenix7 are
Phoenix7, which styles itself PHOENIX 7, is a casino game studio that says it was established in 2021 by a team of experienced gambling professionals. Its website names the operating company as PHOENIX 7 Malta Limited, with an office at Junction Business Centre in St Julian’s, Malta, and development studios in Poland and Japan. A 2025 partnership announcement also mentioned developers in Ukraine.
The company states it has 50 employees and a presence in seven countries. It does not name its executives or owners on its website; the only person we found named in trade coverage is an account manager, Ondela Vundisa, in 2024.
The pitch is ‘East meets West’: games that take elements of Japanese pachinko and pachislot machines and combine them with Western slot themes. The website claims more than 50 titles, while an April 2025 aggregator announcement referred to 20 slots. The IGP catalogue holds 36 Phoenix7 titles.

Markets and licensing
PHOENIX 7’s website states that the company is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority under B2B licence MGA/B2B/936/2022, issued on 10 March 2023 for Type 1 games, and that its games are tested by BMM Testlabs. The number is taken from the provider’s own website. The MGA’s online register did not load in a form we could search when we checked in September 2026, so we have not confirmed it independently.
iGaming Business reported the MGA licence in May 2024 when PHOENIX 7 joined Hub88, and Yogonet repeated the licence and BMM certification in April 2025; both reports are based on company announcements. Distribution partners named since 2024 are Hub88, Pronet Gaming and Slotegrator.
