PatePlay, which usually writes its name as Pateplay, is a Bulgarian game studio based in Sofia. Its business development manager said in August 2025 that the company only began operating in 2022. Some review sites give 2002 or 2019 instead; we treat 2022 as the company’s own figure.
According to iGaming Business, the founder is Georgi Papazki, one of the founders of EuroGames Technology (EGT) nearly 25 years ago, and Georgi Aleksandrov was promoted from chief product officer to CEO in August 2025. The same May 2026 profile put the headcount at well over 100. We found no source describing PatePlay as part of EGT.
The output is slots built in series at several payline counts, such as Luz de Draco, Regal Spins and Sevens Heat, plus live casino games including auto roulette, land-based cabinets and engagement tools such as leaderboards and jackpots. The IGP catalogue holds 132 PatePlay titles.

PatePlay told iGaming Business in May 2026 that its games are available on more than 700 casino sites across 15 European and Latin American markets, and that it secured certification in Greece in March 2026. Elantil’s August 2025 announcement referred to nine jurisdictions. Named partners include Superbet in Serbia, UltraPlay and the Elantil marketplace.
A trade directory (iGamingToday, October 2024) lists approvals from regulators in Malta, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece and Serbia, and a review site mentions GLI testing and ISO 27001. We have not checked these against regulator registers, and PatePlay’s website did not display licence details in a form we could read in September 2026, so treat the list as unverified.
