On 2 July 2025, Apollo Global Management completed a $6.3bn transaction combining International Game Technology’s Gaming & Digital business with Everi Holdings. The combined company took the IGT name and is headquartered in Las Vegas.
The old listed parent kept only the lottery business and was renamed Brightstar Lottery — the rebrand was announced in June 2025 ahead of the closing. So lottery is no longer part of IGT. Any profile calling IGT the world’s largest lottery company is describing Brightstar now.
